Unlike a bank, which can only offer its own loan products, a broker like Davis Monroe Financial shops a network of lenders to find the most competitive terms for each borrower. You work with one point of contact while getting access to multiple lender options.

DMF is based in Mora, Minnesota and serves borrowers throughout the state of Minnesota. Our office is located at 2244 Hwy 65, Mora, MN 55051.

What types of loans does DMF offer?

DMF currently places home purchase loans (conventional, FHA, VA, and Minnesota first-time buyer programs). Construction loans and debt consolidation are coming soon; we do not yet have an approved wholesale lender for those products.

How does a construction loan work?

A construction loan funds the build of a new home in draws, paid out as construction milestones are reached. There are construction-to-permanent loans that convert to a standard mortgage at completion, and construction-only products that are refinanced into permanent financing when the home is done. Note: construction loans are coming soon at Davis Monroe Financial; we do not currently have an approved wholesale lender for this product.

How long does it take to close?

Closing timelines are set by the lender, the appraiser, the title company, and other third parties — not by Davis Monroe Financial. Typical wholesale-lender closing windows in 2026 run roughly 21–45 days depending on loan type, appraisal turnaround, and any borrower-side conditions. DMF does not set or guarantee closing dates; we work to keep your file moving so the lender can act on it as quickly as their process allows. Can DMF help a first-time homebuyer?
